Things To Do in Arlington TX
Arlington is one of the best tourist spots in Texas, there’s no doubt about that. There seems to be a perpetual "good times" atmosphere in the air here, and it’s helped by the friendly people and the great number of attractions. Here, it’s not about the heat or even about politics. It’s all about having a good time with family and friends.
Six Flags over Texas
Many families who live here in Texas make it a point to visit Six Flags over Texas at least once in their lives. And visitors who come to Texas frequently include it in their itinerary. It’s a bit like Disneyland but with some history lessons thrown in. The 6 flags, after all, refers to the various governments that have ruled over Texas at one time or another. But for most kids (and adults if we’re being honest), it’s always the rides that catch their attention, and that’s not surprising. The rides are found all over the 212-acre area, and Six Flags keeps on adding new attractions every year. Aside from the year-round favorite areas (such as the Gotham City-themed section), you have numerous roller coasters, water slides, and other thrilling attractions. Then there are also the special events held every year, which attract hordes of visitors. There’s the Spring Break Out for with games and concert performances, the Festival Latino in April, the Fright Fest during the whole of October, and the Holiday in the Park at the end of November. Six Flags is a great place for families and friends to spend an entire vacation.
Dallas Cowboys
You’ve never really been to Texas if you don’t talk about football. After all, this is the state where high school football is taken extremely seriously! But for a real good time in Arlington, you may want to see if you can score some tickets for a live game with the Dallas Cowboys. This is the ultimate football pageantry which only Texans can provide, and here you’ll know the absolute passion about football that Texans have in their hearts.
Whether you live in Texas or are just a visitor, watching a game live at AT&T Stadium will make you feel like a true Texan for a whole day. The feeling is electrifying. If you can’t find tickets, then visit a bar or even a restaurant. On game day, all TVs are tuning in to the game, and the atmosphere is almost as electric.

Texas Rangers
If it’s not yet football season, then it’s still time for baseball. In Arlington and for most Texans, that means the Texas Rangers take center stage in the summer. The season for the Texas Rangers may have ended prematurely for 2015 when they lost the ALDS, but there’s always next year. Attendance has been good at Rangers Ballpark ever since the 2010 and 2011 seasons, when the boys fell just short of winning the World Series in two consecutive years. But it’s always possible to score tickets, which are very affordable. With the Rangers, summer is always baseball season, and sometimes so is the start of the fall when playoffs come around. So come on down to Arlington, and see for yourself just how much fun it is in one of the fun-filled cities not just in Texas, but in the entire USA.
